Here at Sydenham Veterinary Services we work as a team to provide the highest quality veterinary medicine possible.  Our American Animal Hospital Accredited Hospital provides routine wellness services, as well as specialty services like endoscopy, advanced imaging, advanced dental procedures, a laser surgery option and a wide range of orthopedic surgery.

  • Leslie Reade, D.V.M.

    Leslie grew up at Sydenham Veterinary Services! She earned her BSc from McMaster University and then graduated from the University of Guelph in 2000 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but has a particular interest in orthopedic surgery.

    Leslie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being part of her community.

    She enjoys running and has a love/hate relationship with triathlons. 
  • Jack Chubaty, D.V.M.

    Jack has had a busy life to date! He went to the 1988 Olympics as a member of the Canadian Flatwater canoe team. He was also a member of the Canadian Men's Dragon Boat team at the world Dragon Boat Championships. He was briefly a teacher but decided he would rather work with four-legged animals!

    In 1999 he graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College and he joined Sydenham Veterinary Services in 2002. Jack has a special interest in Ultrasonography and Endoscopy. He is an avid runner and enjoys carpentry.

    Cherri Waddingham, DVM

    Dr. Waddingham graduated from OVC in 1997 with an interest in ICU and internal medicine.  She moved back to the Kingston are upon graduation and has been living and working here ever since.  
    She began working at Sydenham Veterinary Services as a locum (part-time) veterinarian.  After teaching at St. Lawrence College in the Veterinary Technology program for 8 years, she returned to practice full time.  She has been with us since 2014.  
    Outside of the clinic, she is kept very busy with two teenage boys, two Labradors, two Siamese cats and one husband.
  • Jenny Theriault

    Registered Veterinary Technician
    Jenny grew up in the Kingston area and graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Northern College in 2003. She joined the SVS team in 2003 and is currently our head technician.
  • Kim Doucet

    Registered Veterinary Technician
    Kim has been a part of the Sydenham Veterinary Services family since 1997. She worked as evening reception and summers while completing high school and her BScH from Queen's University.

    She graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at St. Lawrence College with Distinction in 2009.

    Kim currently resides in Harrowsmith with her husband and daughter and her fur kids, Lua (Shar Pei) and cat Ambellina. Kim's second love is photography.
  • Kate Earle

    Registered Veterinary Technician
    Kate is the newest member to our team.  She graduated from Georgian College in April of 2015.  
    She spent time volunteering as a technician in Nepal before moving from Ajax to Kingston.
    She resides here with her kitty McNugget and her horse Blacky.  
  • Meredith Barnard

    Registered Veterinary Technician
    Meredith joined our team in May of 2015 while Kim was on Maternity Leave.  She then began her own maternity leave.  We look forward to her return this summer.
  • Dawna Revell

    Dawna has been at Sydenham Veterinary Services since November 1999. She is our in house technician who works behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly.


  • Deborah Garrah

    Receptionist
    Deb has been part of the SVS team since July 2014. She completed her diploma in Recreational Leadership in 1990 from Loyalist College and her diploma in Marine Business Management in 1992 from St. Lawrence College.

    Deb was born and raised in Kingston, ON where she met her husband Kevin.  They have 2 children (Jessica and Alec) and two fur sons, Harley (Toy Poodle) and Roger (a cat that originated from SVS).

    Mary Day

    Receptionist
    Mary began working at SVS in 2003 shortly after moving from England. She lives locally with her family and 5 cats - all of whom originated from SVS.

    She enjoys traveling and going to concerts in her spare time.
