Please feel free to call the clinic and discuss with our technicians which option is best for your pet.

Here is a brief summary of what is available from the respective companies:

Revolution (http://www.revolution4dogs.com/):
Easy to apply, quick to dry, REVOLUTION® (selamectin) protects dogs against a variety of common internal and external parasites. REVOLUTION is the first FDA-approved, topically applied medication for dogs 6 weeks and older that:
  • Prevents heartworm disease
  • Kills adult fleas
  • Prevents flea eggs from hatching
  • Prevents and controls flea infestations
  • Treats and controls ear mites
  • Treats and controls sarcoptic mange

REVOLUTION is quick-drying, nongreasy and waterfast, with no unpleasant odor, so you can cuddle and play with your dog as soon as the product dries. Bathing your dog 2 hours after application does not reduce the effectiveness of REVOLUTION.

Advantage (http://www.nobiteisright.ca/for-dogs/):

  • Available from your veterinarian in four different sizes for puppies and dogs.
*Application of Advantage® should be repeated after every second bath when using pet grooming shampoos. Application should be repeated after each bath if medicated shampoo, flea shampoo, dish detergent, human shampoo or other similar products are used.
